Rosalind Looby
Co-Founder
Practitioner | Professor
Rosalind is a former hedge fund portfolio
manager (Carlson Capital/Millennium) and equity research analyst (Morgan Stanley/CS), with a decade of finance teaching experience.
A long-time participant in the markets, Ros brings the rare combination of practitioner and professor. She built her reputation by going against the grain— asking the uncomfortable questions and confronting difficult truths head on. She navigated stock selection in the financial services sector through the Global Financial Crisis, developing a deep understanding of market cycles, incentives, and structural risks. Her twenty-five plus years across the sell side, buy side, and academia shape a teaching style that is direct, honest, and interactive.
Ros is currently a visiting professor of
economics at Wesleyan University, and has also taught at Connecticut College and Fairfield University, Dolan School of Business where she was awarded the annual teaching excellence award in 2020. She holds a BA from Vassar College and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
